CHINE pour le Vietnam Five porcelain bowls of circular shape decorated in blue underglaze on the outer wall with two opposing dragons, one emerging from the waves and the other spitting flames, both fighting for the sacred pearl. On the reverse, four-character mark THIÊU TRI NIÊN TAO. Emperor Thiêu Tri (1807-1847) was the third sovereign of the Nguyen dynasty. He ascended the throne in 1841, until 1847. 19th century Diameter : 13 cm (one bowl with a small chip on the edge)
