JAPON - Lot 261
JAPON Altar set in bronze with brown patina inlaid with pewter and copper motifs of characters in cartouches with precious objects and shu symbols. It includes a tripod covered incense burner on an openwork base, the handles depicting Buddhist lions' heads, the lid's handle depicting a dog. Two baluster vases on tripod bases frame this incense burner. MEIJI period (1868-1912) H. incense burner : 36 cm. H. vase : 25 cm. (a small deformation to the lid)
