LAI AFONG (1838 ou 1839-1890) Pagoda on the City Wall, Guangzhou, 1873 Albumin print, strong toning, some foxing Size: 215 x 283 mm The Zhenhai Tower, also known as the Five-Story Pagoda, now houses the Guangzhou Museum in the center of the megalopolis. It was built in 1380, in the early Ming Dynasty, by the marquis of Yongjia Zhu Liangzu. The tower is 25 meters high.
