[EURE]. [VERNEUIL-SUR-AVRE]. [ÉCOLE DES ROCHES]. [STOREZ (Maurice), architect (1875-1959). Set of archives and documents relating to the Ecole des Roches, an elite school directed by André Charlier: archives of Maurice Storez, architect. France, Paris, Verneuil-sur-Avre and other places, 1925-1946 Originally, the Ecole des Roches was a French private school founded by Edmond Demolins in 1899, in Verneuil-sur-Avre. Having been approached by Edmond Demolins as early as 1904 and attracted by the school's innovative educational approach, Maurice Storez moved to Verneuil-sur-Avre in January 1905. He became a drawing teacher at the "Ecole des Roches" while working as a freelance architect. Maurice Storez was a royalist, strongly involved in the movement for the return of the Count of Paris, then in exile, to the throne of France. The Count of Paris was Henri d'Orléans (1908-1999), Orleanist pretender to the throne of France from 1940 to 1999. JOINT: [ROYALISM]. Strong file (typescripts, manuscripts) relating to the royalist movement during the Second World War, endorsed and actively supported by Maurice Storez, including a large correspondence exchanged with the representative in France of the Count of Paris during the Second War (Pierre Delongraye-Montier). This set contains numerous papers relating to the position of the royalists during the war and that of the Action française around Charles Maurras.
