Henri Deutsch de la Meurthe (1846-1919) founded in 1909 the "Compagnie générale transaérienne" which was the first commercial company established for the purpose of carrying passengers. On August 25, 1919, a Nieuport-28 postal F-CGT, realized the first air mail service Paris-London. This service will operate until 1921.
