Sacha guitry (1885-1957) - Lot 269
Sacha guitry (1885-1957) 2 typescripts signed; 13 and 8 pages in-4. On his arrest at the Liberation, and his justification. Evidence in hand or "If I had been a "collaborator"". On 13 pages, Guitry denies having collaborated with the Germans; and he produces various documents and testimonies of his conduct "for France", ending with that of Tristan Bernard pulled, thanks to Guitry, from the "German clutches". A letter to a friend states and proves his antipathy towards the Germans, from his youth, and explains his conduct: his return to Paris after the armistice, the reopening of his theater, the performances of Pasteur to the glory of France. Attached is a typed copy of a text by Guitry concerning the favorable testimony of Tristan Bernard, despite the pressure of the investigating judge Raoult (4 p.); and a photocopy of the statement of the information opened by the Public Prosecutor's Office against Guitry.
