SUMPTUOUS FLINTLOCK PISTOL FROM THE LOUIS XIV PERIOD. Flintlock lock by DARS A ANGERS entirely chiseled with interlacing and chimera decoration, swan neck hammer in the round. Barrel with double register with sides then round by NORTMAN A BERLIN equipped with a sight made of a brass part. The stock is made of burr walnut and richly decorated with inlaid silver fittings and threads. Very finely chiseled ovoid cap with interlacing and grotesque decorations. Thumb piece featuring the profile of a Roman emperor under a crown. The trigger guard is finely openworked and decorated with the thumb piece. Stock entirely inlaid with silver wire and the number "I". Counter plate in relief with plant interlacing and zoomorphic figures. Good mechanics. Total length 41 cm. France, Louis XIV period.
