GAILHABAUD, Jules. Architecture of the 5th and 17th centuries and the arts that depend on it. Sculpture, mural painting, glass painting, mosaics, ironwork [...]. Paris, Gide, 1858. 4 vols. in-4 and 1 vol. in-folio. Red half-chagrin with corners, spine ribbed, author, title, date and tomaison gilt, head gilt. Work published in issues from 1850, due to the archaeologist J. Gailhabaud (1810-1888). Our copy contains 295 plates including 49 chromo. According to the classification of the atlas, this one seems to be missing 5 plates. Beautiful plates relating to sacred, monastic, civil, public utility or funerary architecture. Complete with the atlas in-folio containing 38 plates, 17 of which are chromolithographic and one double. Volume I: 63 plates including 1 chromo. Volume II: 57 plates including 16 chromo. Volume III: 61 plates including 8 chromo. Volume IV: 76 plates including 7 chromo. Scattered brown spots. Soiling to the binding.
