Full red morocco, floral garland framing the boards, green morocco medallion decorated with three fleur-de-lys on the boards, spine with ornate faux-nerfs, gilt title, red morocco framing on the flyleaves with wide gilt lace, green tabis flyleaves and endpapers, gilt edges. 55pp.
With an old handwritten note on flyleaf: "Mr le Comte de Provence, Lt général du Royaume avant les cent jours. 1814. At the time when this learned and literate prince annotated Horace and produced these verses full of grace and freshness more than anyone else, he could judge Delille ", and on the back: "Louis XVIII before his return to France ".
