In the copy in the Bibliothèque Nationale, the following handwritten note at the head reads: "This work is attributed, on good evidence, to N. De Bois-Morel, religious of Saint-Benigne of Dijon, very honest man of good morals, who, not by libertinism, but by misguidedness of spirit on religion, passes France in Holland, where he made himself Protestant. ".
