"Very rare first edition" of this collection of satires directed against Pierre de Montmaur (1576-1648), "one of the most greedy men of his time". "An erudite, greedy and parasitic libertine". Engraved frontispiece and title vignette repeated in the second volume, and eight handsome hors-texte plates by Bleyswyk, some of them very curious.
