Posthumous first edition, entirely engraved by Nicolas de Fer, comprising 66 plates (of the 65 announced in the title - Two plates for Pharamond). Each entry is accompanied by an intaglio plate presenting a portrait and a notable scene from the life of the monarch. The text is also engraved.
Without the table leaf, as often. Handwritten bookplate on the flyleaf: De Laguere.
Lower corners dulled, headpieces missing with slight beginnings of cracks in the spine.
