Stephani, 1576. 24ff > Binding commissioned by Claude Le Bègue, with his ex-libris engraved on the first two leaves, one bearing his motto: "Spe labor Levis" and engraved by Rogerius, the second with his coat of arms and his name Sum Claudii Le Begue bituricensis, as well as his arms and cipher struck on the binding. Claude Le Bègue, (15..-1611) Lord of Dornon and Grossouve, lawyer at the Parliament, then second lawyer of the King at the bailliage and presidial seat of Bourges. O.H.R. pl. 466, n°2.
