Louis II de BOURBON, Prince de CONDÉ (1621-1686) « le Grand Condé », fameux guerrier. L.A.S., Paris, April 23, 1661, [to his brother-in-law the duke of LONGUEVILLE]; 1 page fol. (engraved portrait enclosed). He has received his letter and that of M. de Lumbres. He thanks him "for the care which you took to send me this news and even more for the way in which it appears to me that you escrit to this country" of which he awaits news which he will not fail to transmit to him. He adds: "This morning I saw my nephews who are doing very well and are the prettiest in the world. I am leaving now for Fontainebleau. ». They are Jean-Louis-Charles, abbot of Orleans, and Charles-Paris duc de Longueville, who will be killed at the Rhine crossing in 1672, then 15 and 12 years old.
