An ormolu and white and turquoise marble CHINCH HANGER on the theme of Venus and Cupid; the cover supporting a beehive and bees; on the left, Cupid in clouds, on the right Venus commanding his silence; the movement supported by a truncated column encircled by a laurel torus; the quadrangular base with rounded sides and a projection decorated with bas-reliefs on the theme of sacrifice to love; small gadrooned feet; the enamelled dial, signed "Simons à Paris", indicates the hours in Roman numerals and the minutes in increments of five in Arabic numerals.
