Joseph Frédéric Debacq travelled with the Duke of Luynes. He travelled in the Naples region in search of the remains of the Great Greece. This trip marked the beginning of their long collaboration, and Debacq would work as an architect on the Duke's many residences, including the castle of Dampierre, strongly inspired by Antiquity.
