JAPAN, EDO PERIOD COMPLETE NIMAI-DÔ TOSEI GUSOKU TYPE ARMOR including : . two-part, black-lacquered, nuinobe-dô-type breastplate with imitation iyo-zane plates laced in midnight-blue sugake-odoshi ; . seven-panel kusazuri skirt and sode shoulder pads in gold-lacquered kiritsuke-kozane, laced with midnight-blue kebiki-odoshi ; . kote sleeves and haidate en suite, in iron mesh forming a checkerboard pattern on brocade, embellished with small plates ; . shino-suneate leggings . the hoshi-bachi-kabuto helmet with thirty-two iron plates, crowned with a tehen-kanamono; the shikoro with three black lacquered strips, imitating iyo-zane, laced in sugake-odoshi, the upper plate bearing two large fukigaeshi ; . Reissei-type mempo in brown lacquered iron, red on the reverse, with four-lamellar yodarekake in kiritsuke-zane. (Not completely in suite; accidents, lacquer gaps, wear, soiling; yodarekake separated from mask).
