A portrait-frontispiece of the author in medallion by N. Courbe, three folding maps, 3 views and 2 botanical plates (a map of Mr. Mungo Park's route from the Gambia to the Niger, a map of the variations of the compass in the seas surrounding Africa, a map of the new discoveries in North Africa). With the catalog of books found at Dentu, bound between pages X and XI of the preface. With a dictionary of the Mandingo language, starting on page 353 of volume II.
