Contemporary vellum, spine gilt, title and tomography "tom. XII" gilt. In two parts : Familiae Augustae byzantine, seu Stemmata imperatorum. Constantinopolis christiana, seu description rubis sub imperatoribus christianis. Important iconography: in the first part: title vignette, numerous engravings of coats of arms for the majority on full page, 6 various engravings. Second part: two maps (including Constantinople), 2 plates of coats of arms, 1 plate of column, 1 folding hors-texte plan of the Temple of Saint Sophie, 2 folding views of the temple, 8 engravings. Second edition, the first edition dates from 1680. Handwritten mention on the back of the false title : " Clementis XIII L. M. auctoritate Bibliothecae Cappucinorum Cunei a L. Hieremia à Bennettis custode addictus 22 ". Angular staining on the last few leaves. Very light marginal foxing. Lacks at the corners, copy with lack in the upper corner on the whole work (including binding), vellum of the boxes partly detached with lacks, cracks at the spines.
