Histoire des Rois de France depuis Pharamond jusqu'à notre auguste monarque Louis Quinze. Paris, Danet, 1722. 1 vol. in-4. Contemporary calf, spine ornamented, tan morocco title and author pieces. [2] ff. 66 plates numbered from 4 to 69, [62] ff. Posthumous first edition, entirely engraved by Nicolas de Fer, comprising 66 plates (out of the 65 announced in the title - Two plates for Pharamond). Each notice is accompanied by an intaglio plate presenting a portrait and a notable scene from the life of the monarch. The text is also engraved. Without the table leaf, as often. > Handwritten bookplate on the flyleaf: De Laguere. Lower corners dulled, lacks at the headpieces with slight beginnings of cracks at the spines.
