[MARINE]. Notebook of sections, profiles and drawings of a midshipman student (unidentified) on the cruiser "Iphigénie", with corrections by a teacher and notes given to the student. France and various places, dated 1895 Oblong format, 39 ff., drawings and photographs laminated (faded and faded), remnants of labels on the upper cover (partially torn off). Bound in full beige cloth (stained). Dimensions : 160 x 255 mm. The Iphigénie is a frigate (later reclassified as a cruiser) with mixed propulsion of the French Navy in service from 1881 to 1905. From 1886 to 1900, the Iphigénie served as a training school for sixteen generations of midshipmen. The album is composed of two parts, the first of drawings, profiles and sections of the visited coasts (pen and ink drawings). The second part is composed of photographs of the Iphigénie, the cruiser school of application of the midshipmen and of the different places visited by the ship: Vigo, Azores, Tenerife, Canary Islands, Senegal (Dakar), Santiago Island (Cape Verde), Antilles.
