LUXURIOUS FIRST EMPIRE GOLDEN SWORD ATTRIBUTED TO JOSEPH BALTHAZAR SIMÉON 1781-1846. Gilt and mother-of-pearl mounting. Pommel stamped with a lictor beam in the form of a lion's head crook, a jointed bow with a scallop shell decorated with a frieze of waves and a scrolled quillon decorated with a flower. Keyboard in the form of a shield with lions' heads, stamped with the second cock first title Paris and punches of the association of goldsmiths. It is decorated with a helmet and empanaché screened girded with a crown and flanked by trophies of arms on garland of flowers. Mother of pearl fluted plates and ferrules decorated with friezes. Straight blade with triangular section of Solingen, engraved, gilded and blued in third. Leather scabbard (small accidents) with two fittings. Pointer with lictor beam, gusseted with stylized acanthus leaf and frieze decoration. Gilded and chiseled brass buttress with spherical sting, probably reported. Total length 93 cm.
