Studio stamp on the back. 128 x 89 cm A certificate from Mrs. Ayin Béothy will be given to the buyer After the First World War, Etienne Béothy enrolled in the Higher School of Architecture in Budapest, then switched to the study of sculpture by joining the School of Fine Arts. He became friends with Mohaly-Nagy and the avant-garde group MA. In 1920, he traveled to Europe and settled in Paris in 1925. He exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants, the Salon d'Automne and the Salon des Tuileries. In 1928, he exhibited at the Galerie Zak and in Zurich. He participated in the movement Cercle et Carré founded in Vanves in 1929. 1931 his works were at the Galerie de l'Effort Moderne of Léonce Rosenberg and this until 1939. After the war, he was the founder of the Salon des Réalités Nouvelles. Michel Seuphor devoted a book to him. 1947, he exhibited at the Denise René Gallery, but also in Europe. He writes with Le Corbusier the first issue of "Formes et Vie". In 1954, he is in Brussels. His works are represented in the greatest museums of the world. Abstraction finds all its force, its originality, its dynamism in space.
