ART SINO-TIBETAIN Rare chased and gilded bronze figurine representing the three-faced goddess Tara seated in multi-armed dhyanasana, hands joined, two other hands holding an offering bowl, surmounted by two large arms holding a lotus flower-shaped cup. Her 16 additional arms holding Buddhist symbols. She is surmounted by three heads with three faces. The edges of her dress chiseled with flower motifs, the original mercury gilding. 17th/18th century H: 37.5 cm (one arm missing)
